Initially charged to design the facade over a fixed plan given by the client, we found it not living up to the full potential of the site. Therefore, we propose a totally different idea – a “hybrid” typology combined of a highrise and a midrise ring-like courtyard building. As the result, we maximize the residential floor area, create great amount of terrace condo unit, optimize views to golf course and surroundings. Especially, the image of a great “green ribbon” emerges – a symbol for sympathy and support – serves as the visual and symbolic tool for the building to resonate with many social matters in different events such as by lighting color changing.
